Terms of Use
Terms of Use
These are not Fugazii's terms of use and they are not in effect. This page lists what the terms have to cover, drafted from the Fugazii blueprint (docs/11-business.md §8, legal items LG-1 to LG-8). Counsel writes the final terms before the waitlist opens or the app ships. Notes in italics are questions for counsel.
1. Who provides Fugazii
Fugazii is developed and provided by TrunkFlow LLC. Contact: fugazii@trunkflowtech.com.
2. What Fugazii does
Fugazii compares the claims in a post the user shares with reliable sources and shows one result: TRUE, FALSE, MISLEADING, UNVERIFIED or NO CLAIMS FOUND, with a short explanation, the claims it checked and its sources.
3. Results are made by AI and can be wrong
- Every result says: “Checked by AI. It can be wrong. Check the sources.”
- Results rate claims, not people.
- Results are not medical, financial or legal advice.
For counsel: disclaimers and limits of liability for AI-written verdicts on other people's posts (LG-3), and whether media-liability insurance is needed (Q-08).
4. Reports, disputes and corrections
Anyone can report a result through “Was this right?”. A creator who disputes a result on their own post can choose “This is my post and I dispute it” or write to fugazii@trunkflowtech.com. A person reviews every report; a corrected result shows that it was updated and what it said before.
For counsel: the promised response time for disputes (Q-03).
5. Using Fugazii
Share only what you're allowed to share, and don't misuse the service, for example with automated checks or by working around the free allowance.
For counsel: acceptable use, and how the social platforms' own terms affect what Fugazii reads from a link (LG-1).
6. Free checks and Fugazii Pro
Fugazii is free to start, with a monthly allowance of checks. Fugazii Pro, for people who check a lot, is sold only through the App Store and Google Play, renews automatically unless cancelled, and is managed or cancelled in the store account. Prices are shown in the app and are set after the beta.
For counsel: subscription wording under App Store guideline 3.1.2 and Google Play's rules (LG-8).
7. Age
Fugazii isn't aimed at children under 13. The private beta is for adults 18 and older in the US.
8. The private beta
- The beta is free and lasts about 4 to 6 weeks.
- Testers agree to check at least 3 posts a week and answer a short weekly survey.
- The beta app is a test version: it may change, stop working or be withdrawn, and its results may be wrong.
For counsel: confidentiality, feedback rights and any tester perk.
9. Fugazii's name and design
For counsel: the trademark notice once FUGAZII is filed (TM-3), and ownership of the app's content and design.
10. Changes, governing law and contact
For counsel: how changes are announced, the governing law and venue, and the effective date.
